In this episode, a case of cyber fraud has come to light from Mumbai, where a person was duped of Rs 7 lakh on the pretext of giving a job by changing his voice with the help of AI. Police have arrested a woman in this cyber fraud case. Her husband is still absconding.
What is the whole matter
Actually, this whole thing started 7 months ago. Where a 34-year-old woman was looking for a good job. She told this to her neighbor Rashmi, after which that woman made a plan to take advantage of the woman’s need. The neighbor woman generated a man’s voice and talked to the victim woman.
Rashmi introduced herself as Abhimanyu Mehra and said that Rashmi has given your number. In some time, chatting started between the two. The accused woman Abhimanyu Mehra trapped the victim in the trap of love and both got into a relationship.
7 lakhs transferred to the account
After getting into a relationship, the victim transferred 7 lakhs to Abhimanyu Mehra’s account. Whereas she had not even met Abhimanyu Mehra till now. According to the victim woman, she tried a lot to meet Abhimanyu Mehra but he used to avoid the topic every time.
Came to light in police investigation
The victim got suspicious when Abhimanyu Mehra was not found. After which the woman took the help of the police. When the police questioned Rashmi, the truth came out, in which it was revealed how she used voice changing to disguise herself as Abhimanyu Mehra and committed cyber fraud with the victim. The police said that Rashmi’s husband was getting full support in this cyber fraud.
